Your recovery key is separate from your new login password. A correct, unused key works immediately, even after a lockout.

Use the exact key saved in includes/recovery.php (at least 32 letters and numbers).

Choose 12 to 72 characters. Letters, numbers, and punctuation each count as one byte; emoji and other Unicode characters can count as more.

Get a recovery key

In cPanel File Manager, open your site's includes folder. Copy recovery.sample.php to recovery.php. Replace the placeholder between the quotes with a new random key of at least 32 characters, save, and enter that same key above.

Forgot your username too? In phpMyAdmin, open this site's database and browse the admins table.
